DogInclusive is a comprehensive online platform that offers rental properties with dog-friendly amenities. The company has been operating in the market for several years, attracting thousands of property owners and users seeking accommodations. DogInclusive is renowned for its extensive selection of lodging options perfectly tailored to the needs of bth people and their four-legged friends.
Our collaboration aimed to create a modern online platform that allows owners of dog-friendly properties to professionally and comprehensively present their properties while providing users with an easy reservation process.
The client decided to build a new platform due to the lack of several key functionalities in the old version of the portal for both guests and owners of dog-friendly properties. This hindered smooth reservations and led to a loss of users to more popular booking services. Additionally, the client wanted to implement a more profitable billing model in the new version of the platform.
Our task was to migrate data from the previous version of the service, design and implement the new DogInclusive platform with key functionalities, and continue its development. The platform was entirely created using no-code low-code tools such as Bubble and Xano. To ensure its comprehensiveness, we also developed our own plugins and integrated it with numerous external tools to cover all the needs of property hosts and guests.
A key assumption was that the platform should be intuitive and easy for property owners and users seeking accommodations throughout Poland. Therefore, while working on the DogInclusive platform, we focused on three types of users:
To meet these requirements, we had to undertake several actions, such as migrating user data from the old DogInclusive system, creating an advanced reservation system, integrating with external tools and booking platforms, providing pricing and fee configuration options for property owners, and ensuring full responsiveness of the platform across various devices.
Working on such an advanced platform involved numerous challenges:
Platform Migration
Transferring data from the client's old system to retain key property information. This allowed property hosts to almost automatically transfer their data upon logging into the platform's new version.
Host Dashboard
Creating an intuitive system enabling hosts to create and fully manage their listings on DogInclusive. This way, property owners can easily edit descriptions and pricing, set availability dates in calendars, add photos, manage bookings, and communicate with guests.
Complex Payment System
Implementing an advanced payment system that accommodates various payment settings, seasonal pricing, additional fees, and prepayments.
Communication System
Enabling easy communication between hosts and users booking properties through a built-in chat feature on the platform.
Advanced Search System
Ensuring the ability to instantly search hundreds of properties with an extensive filtering option. To achieve this, we built the search engine using the Xano platform, ensuring fast processing of large amounts of data.
SEO Indexing
Building the platform to fully utilize its SEO potential regarding the indexing of subpages (over 20,000) along with their keywords in accordance with the standards of the most popular search engines.
1. Workshops and Design: A detailed analysis of the previous version of the DogInclusive platform and the client's needs. Preparation of graphic designs and planning the entire infrastructure of the new version of the platform.
2. System Migration: Preparation of a migration scheme and execution of the process, including the automatic migration of users upon logging into the new version of the platform.
3. Platform Implementation: Deployment of the DogInclusive platform using Bubble, Xano, and our developers' proprietary solutions. Development of numerous functionalities to enhance the platform's usability (e.g., a wizard for registering accommodations, an advanced payment system, calendar integration, a comprehensive property search engine, and many others).
4. Testing: Creating a booking platform required us to prepare it for all unconventional user behaviors. Therefore, testing was conducted intensively from the beginning of the project to achieve the highest quality standards.
